Writing Cathedral - Sue’s comments:
I have always been saddened by the terrible damage done to English churches and cathedrals during the Civil War - a part of history that few people seem aware of. My great grandfather was a master stonemason and the two threads came together in the Cathedral story. I wanted to write a piece that explored the value of artistic endeavour when set against our feelings for those that we love. I have been thrilled with the music Peter has composed for the story - the words and music combine to create a whole greater than I ever imagined.
